Halloween en el Planetario

En la última semana de octubre el Departamento de Inglés preparó una actividad relacionada con la festividad d e Halloween. Los alumnos de varios cursos asistieron al planetario para visualizar la infografía que podemos ver aquí:

Descripción

De los productores de la Universidad Ball State, del laboratorio IDIA y del Planetario Charles W. Brown de Muncie, Indiana, este espectáculo está basado en el guión original de Dayna Thompson y Ronald Hicks, con banda sonora original de Luke R. Mitchell. El programa presenta conocimientos científicos modernos y actualizados. La duración es de poco más de 24 minutos. 

¿Qué asocias a Halloween? ¿Truco o trato, disfraces, …? ¿Astronomía? ¡Al fin y al cabo, Halloween es una festividad astronómica! Aprende la historia de Halloween (algunos historiadores creen que en la cultura celta el año nuevo comenzaba el 31 de octubre) y cómo encaja en las estaciones como el día del medio entre el equinoccio de otoño y el solsticio de verano. También exploraremos el firmamento y aprenderemos los planetas, constelaciones y estrellas que podrán verse la noche de Halloween.

Objetivos:

Conocer un poco más la cultura y costumbres anglosajonas realizando una comprensión auditiva y contestando al cuestionario correspondiente.

Temporalización:

Tres sesiones de planetario, una hora de clase con cada grupo.

Evaluación:

Esta actividad será evaluada según los criterios establecidos en la correspondiente programación de la asignatura de Inglés.
